A finely painted "oblong", a modified form of the London shape, teapot in bone china in pattern 2637 of 1818, with finely painted floral sprays in panels, part of one of the tea services at the Spode Museum.

Part of one of the cabinets at the Spode Museum displaying early porcelain teawares.  All the pieces in the cabinet were made before 1820.  Deep cobalt blue is a most effective background for finely painted and gilded designs.  Several tea services are displayed in this case.
